BLACK LIVES MATTER
This website was created to help educate those who do not understand our anger, and our frustration. It was created for those who stand by "all lives matter" or those who stand by the police. You can't force people to learn, but you can give them the resources. If you're ready to step into the lives of black individuals, continue on.

What is the Black Lives Matter Movement?
Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a movement founded in 2013 after the acquittal of Trayvon Martin's murder. The purpose of this movement is to bring light and justice to the victims of police brutality and systemic racism. Too often police officers get away with murdering the civilians they are paid to protect. Too often Black Lives are discarded without purpose- and without justice.
In recent events, with the murders of Ahmaud Abery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and many more- protests have picked up again and this time more allies have joined the fight. All 50 states have had BLM protests since these recent injustices.
Why Black Lives Matter? Why not "All Lives Matter"?
"All Lives Matter" was created to undermine the BLM movement. It disregards the constant systemic and individual racism that black communities have faced since the very start of America. Saying "All Lives Matter" in response to Black Lives Matter is like saying "All Cancers Matter" when someone talks about breast cancer awareness. We know all lives matter, but right now we're focusing on the brown and black ones. When you say All lives matter, even if your intentions are good, you are belittling the injustices faced by black people in America- and thus so you are apart of the problem.
